The unofficial 35a works fine.
The new official 35d for Jetbook fails with message 'please use update newer than 31'.
Another victory for Jetbook customer service!!!!
What is going on.

Hey ChrisSmith,
I apologize for the obvious question but are u positive you are using 0.35d and not an older one. You can tell by the file name.
Also what did you start with? 0.35g?
What did you go to after?
If you went to 0.35a and then tried 0.35d this could be why you are having the problem. I was told you cannot downgrade.
Please let me know the history of your upgrades and or downgrades so i can check on this.

I have the same issue Jerry. I downloaded 35a a couple weeks back and now 35d will not load, giving the same error message as the other customer stated.
I am planning to try 35e soon. I noticed that 35e was an .exe file instead of a .zip like the others.

Yes I'm absolutely sure I'm using 35d or at least the file called that on the Ectaco Jetbook site.
I have now loaded 35e which was posted somewhere for beta testing this loads with no problem and so far seems to work more or less perfectly.
I'd like to reiterate what other users have said, the Jetbook appears to be better than any other ebook reader on the market presently hindered only by appalling quality control and customer service.

However, I've noticed a HUGE difference in both quality control AND customer service at Ectaco lately. In particular, the resolution of problems has vastly improved since Jerry started interacting with us in the forums. Now that the powers that be allowed him to release the firmware upgrades for beta testing with the more hard core users before it's officially released, the quality control will only get better.
I believe a more accurate statement would be "... ebook reader on the market formerly hindered only by appalling quality control and customer service."

Although it is in beta it appears to be safe. Try this update and let me know if there is any difficulty.
Hope this helps!
