ECTACO iTRAVL NTL-9C & ECTACO iTRAVL NTL-2R English <-> Russian SD Problems

I have a problem with my ECTACO iTRAVL NTL-9C. The iHelp does not open for some reason. I also bought a GPS module for it but it doesn't want to work? When I test the SD on the PC it has some CRC errors?

I also have a small problem with my ECTACO iTRAVL NTL-2R English <-> Russian. The NTL-2R has a problem where when I click on any button it freezes and after 2 seconds a note pops up with a picture and russian word for it. If I keep on clicking on the app (example iHelp) it does open after a while. I can't seam to disable this!?

Is it possible to redownload the SD card sw somewhere? I can upload my SD software to a place so you can maybe check what is wrong?

I've spoken to support, I have my serial numbers and the original SD cards with ectaco sticker but they seam reluctant to help!!!!

How long ago did you purchase the iTravl models?
Also, when you start up the device, is your home screen one with the Statue of Liberty on the front? Or do you have 'dictionaries and Tools' at the home screen?

When I start up the device my one device has the Statue of Liberty on the front (NTL-9C), and the NTL-2R has a black background with icons for tools etc.

I actually bought them about a year ago, secondhand. I only really used the NTL-9C so far.

Hey,

Thanks for the message, i can tell you the model with the statue of liberty on the front is an older firmware version. The NTL-2R sounds like it has the newer firmware version however it does not have the newest (Just released a few months ago).

Here are some notes:
-Tech help should be able to provide you with a download of some firmware version.
-Re-downloading the firmware will eliminate any GPS maps you have on the device.
-Our devices have a one year warranty, if they are still within a year we can replace and upgrade them for free.
-The the reset procedure i gave you in the last email help at all?

The absolute worst case scenario is if the firmware version is not available and the device is older then a year. We can upgrade you to a newer model but that would be at a cost.
