NO... not interesting. That's just plain right sexy !!! If they set it with a nice backlight and a way to change the font sizes, this will be incredible. Oh and it must be reasonably priced as well.

Arghh! That's just as bad as taking the local over-eaters anonymous chapter to an all you can eat buffet.

Hey Jerry,
can you tell us if the lack of native support for anything but txt and fb2 formats is expected to change? The reason I ask, is that (as I understand it,) it's illegal to remove copyright protections in the US.

I just wondered if the other formats are not supported due to the 3 month development period, in which case an update will remedy the situation. Or whether the formats are not supported because of hardware cost constrains (in which case it's permanent.)

I think Jerry is busy signing autographs.

So until he's available, I can provide my two cents worth:

Calibre will not work with DRM infected files. It does convert from and to
most of the eBook file formats out there. There is a lot of uninfected
reading material available, in many formats.

I wouldn't expect any of the Jetbooks to break into the textbook market,
(no other ereader has) except the Language Schools perhaps.

Hey,

Thanks for your patience, sorry allot going on recently!

I don't know of any plans to expand the format support beyond the FB2 and TXT formats. When i asked one of our managers why the format support was just these he said in so many words "we are marketing this towards a different crowd, people that are more experienced with eBooks and eReaders like those on the mobileread forum"

Hope this helps! Oh by the way, unofficially you can see the video on YouTube, just search "jetBook Mini".

I believe everything will be "official" at the end of the month.

Seen the video, it's nicely done.

I saw it from a link in a post at MobileRead Forums.

I would have to think that your marketing guys were aiming at me then.
If they want to see how far they missed the mark, have them check the
related posts in the "News" section and the "Ectaco jetBook" section at
