Hi,

I just got an jetbook color and I love it, this is really a cool device, however like everybody reported, it is hard to read when the light is getting dim so I hope you could consider either for the next model or as an extra accessory, a light frame that will clip on the current frame and will bring some intensity adjustable led light so we could also have our own JetBook color glowlight and enjoy the JBC when it is getting dark. I will also suggest you maybe try to implement the flex light technology into the triton screen, if that is possible, for let's say the jetbook color 2 , that would be awesome :

Hey,

Thanks for your message and feedback! Our solution to low level reading is an LED earlight, you can see it here https://www.ectaco.com/Earlight-for-Jetbook/

I know allot of people suggested a front light for the device, this will maintain the Eye-Healthy reading experience and still give you nighttime reading.

Most illumination technology uses a backlight which could be hard on the eyes.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your information Jerry,

I think the flex film technology , lightwedge acrylic plate , etc... are not backlight, the light does just scatter on the film or plastic from leds located on the side and then reflect on the e-ink screen, so you end with a better even lighted area than any single led directional light, also any embedded solution in the reader will be more "elegant" than any extra accessory you have to plug on your ear or attach to the device
