Jetbook-updating problems

There are obviously varying experiences with the firmware upgrade.
My upgrade from 0.33g to 0.35d went smoothly without a hitch.

I have read of some of the supposed changes that this should bring, but aren't able to observe much difference. I only use pdfs (because of TOC and they are vastly faster for me) and I am particularly interested in the text reflow (is that what it is called?) where the text adjusts to the screen when the font size is changed. It doesn't seem to work for my pdf's.
Perhaps I have misunderstood this.

I must apologize for my above post.
I had 34c (not 33g) which successfully upgraded to 35d. This is the version that doesn't seem to have reflow.

Since then I have tried some others. 35g (beta). It didn't seem to play well with some of my pdf TOC's. So I thought I would try to downgrade. Then the fun started.

Going down from 35g - could not go to 35d. In the finish did go to 35a and since then have gone to 35e. This has the reflow and largely works ok, but still have problem reading TOC for some of my big pdf's.

I think my issue relates to the change of pdf reader. Foxit Reader has been superceded by Adobe, and Foxit seemed to handle TOC better for me - but it seems impossible to get back to a firmware version that has Foxit. Or perhaps it is the way the TOC is generated - mostly through Calibre.

I don't really know what kind of firmware you'd need to update to 0.35d. Hilarious, if you think about it.

So the upgrade to 0.35a was successful however the upgrade to 0.35d was not? Did you get an error message?

Upgrading from 0.35a to 0.35d failed. I can't remember what the message said, and wouldn't want to try doing it again.

Going from 0.35a to 0.35e or 0.35g worked. In fact there's no problem moving between these firmware. You could even downgrade, say from e to a.

0.35d probably only worked with if you're upgrading from v0.34, as tonhou's experience seems to indicate.

It probably slipped he firmware programmer's mind that most people are upgrading from 0.33g, since it was the last official firmware.

So some of your PDF's did not have the TOC in the most current version 0.35g BETA? Did you notice if the re-flow was ok?

which seems to have a very recent last modified date (8th July). The TOC is much tidier for pdf's with this version, however I still have one (an ESV Bible) which locks the reader up. Again I am wondering if it is a Calibre generated TOC that is the problem (it is a very large TOC in this case).

Apart from this issue I am finding this version good at this stage.

Ok great, i understand. I will bring your feedback to the technician and see if they are finding similar problems. I believe they addressed a re-flow issues in the latest version 0.35i which

I think I have identified the TOC problem. The present pdf reader in 35a, 35e and 35g will only handle one level and not sub levels. I suspect it is these sub levels that is causing the lockup problem.

My last use of 35g introduced other rogue entries in the list also, presently using 35a it is a nice clean listing.
