Ok guys lets hear em. I will try to keep this main thread updated with your ideas. This wont be a sticky. RULES: Tell which model you are talking about or say both. Keep it as brief as possible so other users can understand what you are talking about.
jetBook:
-TOC sub-menu for PDF files. Expandable menu. (tonhou)

-In dictionary. When you look up a word and then another the Black highlight does not start from the top but instead from the last word you searched. (Kimberly)
jetBook Lite:
- Free zoom. PDF files. Choose any whole number as a font size. (Numbr6)( mazing82)
- Font Selection menu for PDF (Numbr6)
- All formats. brows book percentage with numbers o
Both:

Ok, I'll start.
jetBook Lite:
Free zoom ratio for PDF where the user can choose the value wanted.
Return of the font selection menu rather than scrolling through the font sizes.
Those are the two most wanted for me.

Here's my favourite request:
Jetbook
-TOC sub-menus for pdf's
eg.
Ch1
------> Part 1
------> Part 2
------> Part 3
------> Part 4
Ch2
Ch3
Clicking on Ch 1 in TOC then opens the sub-menu, Parts 1 to 4.

JBL: Have an option to use side keys to browse through books at percentage points.
Say,
"0" = 0% into the book(page 1)
"1" = 10% into the book
...
"9" = 90% into the book
This will be extremely helpful for browsing large plain text books. Easier than entering the page number. In 500 page book simply hit "5" to check out the page 250 in the middle of the book.

JetBook Lite : (because thats what I have)
How about a universal naming convention across all files.
I'm referring to the ability to name TXT files as "Author#BookName.txt" and have the information properly formatted on-screen. It would be nice to be able to name any ebook file (TXT, HTML, EPUB, PDF, etc.) this way and have the information show correctly on-screen.
I would even go a step further and suggest extra "fields" in the name:
Genre_Author#Series!Number~BookName.EXT
And have these fields sortable from the menu. If we assume "#" is the Author identifier and have other such identifiers optional, like series and number for stand-alone novels.

After selecting a book on the book list menu, the font size (or zoom level) of the book list menu reverts to the default, largest size when you return to the book list menu again.
This is actually a bug introduced in 0.35m.

I just upgraded to 35m tonight from 33g, so I can't be sure when these issues began, but here's what I have noticed.
No dictionary anymore. I have all epub files and I had a dictionary till the upgrade tonight. It wasn't a very good dictionary, but it was there.
I now have to set the font size for each book I open. Wasn't there a system wide adjustment before? I can also confirm the previous posters bug in the book title font size adjustment.
The led blinks more. Still at page turns, which I got used to, but now sometimes twice at page turns and sometimes every couple seconds for seemingly no reason.
There is now a teeny tiny page number that scrolls in the right margin, often overlapping the text. It seems to be part of the jetBook firmware as it corresponds to the page number at the top. Font size changes don't affect it.
Honestly, as a somewhat early adopter and promoter of the jetBook (selling my Kindle to purchase it), I am disappointed.

Hey, guys.
This was an idea thread for suggestions on improvements to future functionality. Not for bug reports.

Hey,
You mean when you see your books listed you press the zoom button to make the names of your books big. Then you go into a book. Then you exit the book and the font of the books listed is back to default.
My jetBook does not do this, is anyone else seeing this behavior?

I'm surprised at this, it seemed we had a more stable version with the jetBook 0.35M update.
If possible, in a new thread, can you tell me ( i want to stay on topic here):
-For the no dictionary thing: Where are you getting the ePubs from? Were they converted ever?
- For the tiny page # on the right: Is it only for one format of book? Which formats? where were the books from?
For the book size do you mean the same thing as above? Or is it that you open a book, sent the font size. Exit. Then go back into the book later and the font size in the book is changed?
Please let me know so i can help out. Thanks!

This is a product of ADE and not JB firmware. If you open the book on your computer with ADE you'll see those same page numbers.
I'll GLADLY take those "teeny tiny page numbers" with a TOC and smaller line spacing with ADE support any day.

I would like to see a choice of "Type of Dictionary" for installation via a FW update.
I would prefer a stronger English only Dictionary to replace the weaker Multi-language support Dictionary.
If possible have Dictionary access in all formats.

I would like to see "Hot link" access.
Some documents come with built in links (not TOC) throughout a document.
It would be nice if you could use them (provided they link to another section of the document).
Such links could be "Top of page" etc.
These links work if you access the doc (hmt/html) via a PC browser.

JetBook:
----------
1. I would advise to completely revise the AudioBooks TOC. I suggest to remove the list of ALL .MP3 files found in memory (FLASH and SD). Most of AudioBooks are provided in the folders with the files numbered as 01.mp3.. 99.mp3 and when you put several such AudioBooks onto the SD, then all .MP3 files found are shown in one list. Instead, replace TOC with the File/Folder browser as this is done for E-books and it is fine.
2. AudioBooks play control: Pressing 'return' knob when the .MP3 file is played, takes you to the JetBook ROOT menu instead of the AudioBooks list. This makes me disappointed.

JBL: If doing hot links, activate to Prologue, Chapter, etc.
JBL: One activation for all books formatted alike. E.g.; all ereader-formatted books transferred into the device would automatically be activated rather than having to do them singularly after upload.
JBL: Have system settings indicate how much of the battery juice has been used and how much room is left (or used) on SD card.
JBL: Have a dictionary that one could hot link to a word in a book (yes, I'm reaching for the moon here.)
Thanks for listening.

For both.
Color screen would be nice. I know it would be more expensive, however color technical diagrams are impossible in black and white.
A hard case would be nice too. My job sites can get a little rough.
(Edited to reflect I was talking about both, since I was writing before coffee).
