The Aluratek Libre Pro is an identical hardware/OS device like the Jetbook.
It just runs a different reader(s).
It does not support T9 text entry or the weak dictionary but it does support all the same e-book formats including HTM/HTML as well as Adobe Digital Editions ePub/PDF DRM support.
The PDF support includes "Text Flow on/off" which means that you can read approx 95 % of PDF docs without having to do any zooming and panning to view the text. Regardless of what the original PDf sorm was designed to view on. There still are issues with embeded tables and charts but you can turn "Text Flow Off" and then zoom in as you would with the Jetbook to enlarge the tables and charts.
So there are work arounds that could be added to the jetbook to improve it.
Update June 29/2010: For those that have the regular jetBook that does not take AA batteries there is a new Firmware .035a that resolves all the PDF issues on a small screen and gives active TOC for both ePub & PDF.
