According to Mobilread, there is a new firmware (ftp://custftp:FQSswyvGQ20So@ftp.ectaco.com/JL04-v0.35a.exe)0.35a for the JB (not lite)

Anyone know what it does?

Anything new coming for the JBL?

Most likely its not a official release since its not on the firmware download page... but I did try it out. It adds Adobe Digital Editions DRM support.... and there is a TOC for epubs in this version. I tested with a couple of Library epubs and it worked ok. It does not have dictionary support for epubs... but considering how bad the English dictionary was, not a huge loss in my opinion. But I miss being able to turn the page with the left arrow and right arrow in epubs. Also looks like pictures are not sized correctly in epubs. You cannot change the font/margins/justification for epubs.

I had purchased an Adobe Digital editions ePub book a few months ago (foolishly thinking that JB could read any format) but the new firmware will not open the book either.

If you loaded version 35a on your jetBook, you still need to authorize the jetBook in Adobe Digital Editions on your PC. After that you should be able to drag from Adobe Digital Editions to your jetbook and open it.

So if this is not an official release as the website still relects 33g what is it and where did it come from?

It must have come from Ectaco or else it wouldn't work - right?

My unit purchased in early Feb 2010 came with 34c and that is not show either as the current Firmware version. What does this all mean?

Anyone?
