hurray, i think this did the trick! have
checked a couple of languages thus far,
and everything appears okay.

Mr. Feofanov, i hope you can understand
my frustration with your 'tech support'.
this has taken all of 4 months to correct.
this is unacceptable. i have incured the added
expense of returning the entire unit twice and
also a mmc card once. will i be compensated?
now what i'm concerned about is the extended
warranty. when does it start? the date i purchased
it or today, the day i got a functioning product?

the rest of my e-mail:

this has been a very trying time for me. having
make an expensive purchase and not getting
neither adequate nor satisfying service. phone
callings with 40+ min of waiting till i was able
to speak to a service tech, messages left with
techs and managers which were never responded
to. wow, i think you had better take a good look
and evaluate your customer service. it's bad. poor
at best.

and you wanted me to send the entire unit
back again, for the third time. what did you
do with the other units? did you not evaluate
them to find the problem? what about the mmc
card i sent back? SHAME ON YOU!
