Pixel density of the screen is 300 ppi which is a record for this type of E Ink screens and corresponds to the high-quality paper printing. The model is made of top-quality materials and has a thin aluminum alloy casing and an ASAHI protective glass. In addition, the reader is equipped with a high-performance 4-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. A Wi-Fi module and a built-in browser allow the user to surf on the Internet. A built-in Bluetooth module allows you to connect different external devices to this E-Reader. Its built-in software allows you to open text files of almost any formats and to configure settings of the text for more comfortable reading. The Android operating system provides opportunities to install third-party apps for reading.

What is E Ink Carta Plus

E Ink Carta Plus is the latest generation of screens made on the "electronic paper" technology. Compared to previous models, this screen has higher definition and contrast. Pixel density of the screen is 300 ppi that is a record for this type of E Ink screens and corresponds to high-quality paper printing. Reading on such screens is as comfortable as from the page of a good paper book.

What is SNOW Field?

SNOW Field is an operating mode of the screen, allowing to reduce the number of artifacts on the screen within partial refresh. If this function is on, full refresh of the screen is not needed.

Screen lighting

The MOON Light 2 technology enables one to use the device in the dark or under poor lighting conditions. When this function is in use, soft luminescence of the screen comfortable for reading in dark rooms is being generated. It also has a color temperature control and, thanks to the use of Flicker-Free technology, the front-light system is perfectly smooth.

Capacitive Multi-touch screen

E Ink Carta Plus display has a lighter base and higher contrast than other screens of this class. It allows one to read in bright sunlight and has a high rate of screen refresh. Absence of a shimmering light and the principle of image formation with E Ink method makes reading comfortable for eyes. Capacitive sensor, supporting a Multi-touch function, provides an easy control with fingers.

Additional screen protection

Protective glass from the famous Japanese manufacturer ASAHI is located atop the E Ink screen and protects it from scratches and other damage. This new glass allows to avoid additional frames, so the screen is flush with the body of the device. This makes the e-book more comfortable and it looks more modern. In addition a special coating reduces the glare of the screen.

High performance

A Quad-core processor with 1.2 GHz clock rate and 1GB of RAM ensures comfortable work with difficult documents. And 8 GB of nonvolatile memory and a microSD-slot supporting memory cards up to 32 GB allows the user to store up to 35000 books.

Format support

The BOOX software allows the user to open files of various text and graphic formats. When reading you can change font style and size, disposition of pages, insert bookmarks, add your own fonts and zoom documents at will.

Built-in dictionaries

There are pre-installed English-Russian and Russian-English dictionaries in Monte Cristo. To translate an unknown word just choose it in the text.

Smart cover

The kit comes with a smart cover which not only provides effective protection of the screen, but when closed turns automatically the device to sleep mode.

Continuous work

Low power consumption of E Ink displays and battery capacity of 3000 mAh provides up to a month of autonomous work.

Language support

The BOOX allows the user to read documents in different world languages. Amongst them there are such languages as Russian, English, German, French, Spanish, Arabic, Swedish, Chinese, Japanese and many others.
