Voice translation of phrases

I like the voice translation of phrases - it can be helpful. However, in the iHelp it recommends using an external mic/headset. I train using the headset and then it doesn't recognize my voice at all when using the built-in mic. In a scenario where I would want to use one of these iHelp phrases, I can't imagine it will do much good to use the headset since only I will hear the translated phrase. This doesn't seem right to me. I think it would be best to train using the built-in mic that you are most likely to be using when you need this feature most. Or am I missing something?

Alex, as I mentioned in the other thread, it is an NTL-2J with a 2GB SD card with NTL-9C on it. It seems to do the same for either SD card in iHelp. I don't really like having to reset the device after changing SD cards, but it doesn't seem to make a clean change unless I do that - and then I have to set the date and time again.

Dear Brion,

What kind of the mic do you use? Is it original mic/headset? How many incisions does it have on the jack? It should have 3 incisions.

Please note that you need to create a new profile for using external mic. Once it's done please check the settings and adjust the options.
Perhaps you need to tune the mic once again.

For more details you can refer to the iHELP tab of the user's guide which can be downloaded from this link:
ftp://81.3.156.146/iTRAVL_UM_ENG_web.pdf

Should you need any other assistance please let us know.

Thank you.
