My P900 refuses to switch on

Hi

Received my EAP900 and plugged it in to charged. Red light went off after about 20 minutes. Tried again same thing. I left it for a few hours and it has since refused to switch on. It only switches on when I connect it to the power outlet. What should I do?

My P900 refuses to switch on

Hi,

Its quite disappointing that I still haven't received a reply to my problem considering I spent ages on hold when I called customer services and after finally getting through and giving a detailed explanation of my problem, the customer services rep insisted I EMAIL him a description of my problem. I did that immediately and still he didn't bother to Email me back.
Now I am stuck with a college essay I can't complete (the main reason I ordered the P900 in the first place) and its still not working.

Re:My P900 refuses to switch on

Hi,

Thanks for the message and sorry to hear about the difficulty. Please give us at least 48 business hours for a response on the forums. We don't always get a notification of a post.

Please try the following:
1) Remove the battery from the bottom of the unit. This can be done with a small screwdriver. The battery panel is under the device.
2) Leave the battery out for at least 15 minuted.
3) Replace the battery, it should sort of click back in place so you know it is actually in.
4) Plug the unit back in and see if it takes a charge.

If it still does not work please contact support at 718-728-3605 or email support@ectaco.com We would be glad to help you with a warranty on the unit if applicable.

Hope this helps!

My P900 refuses to switch on

I did the above mentioned procedure many times over the last 3 days. Secondly my battery doesn't click back in. Its connected to the device by two small red and black wires. So even when the battery is hanging out of the device it is still connected by the two small wires. Am I supposed to pull the wires out? Because I didn't in case I damaged the device in any way. Anyway as I said I have tried taking the battery out several times and putting it back in to no avail!
