Updated to v16 - still no epub

Hi. I am totally at a loss here. I have read tons of posts on here about updating the firmware and problems with epub files and such.
I downloaded a epub file from Barnes and noble.com. It starts to open it and then the screen sits there blank.
I spent what seemed like forever going through all of the steps to update my JBL to v0.16 Patch 16 and I am still having the problem.
Is there something else that I am missing?
Thanks!

The 16e update allows me to read epub format. It just came out last week. Remember to put in fresh batteries before you try the update; other than that, it is a slick install.

New problem

OK, so I finally updated to 16e. When I go to open a Barnes & Noble epub file, it makes it farther than it did before. It asks me for the unlock Name and Code. I have done this many times before, so I enter the name and code, press OK. Then I get the hourglass like it is starting to open it and then it goes back to the book list and says "Failed to Open File" I am 200% sure that I am entering the correct Name and code to unlock, as I said I have done it many times before.
Any other suggestions before I toss the JBL and invest in a Nook??

I will assume you know to enter in your name with no spaces, but please let me know the following.

1) Was this downloaded directly from B&N?
2) Are you positive you are using the same CC to open it?
3) Is the book on an SD card or the devices HD?

Please let me know and i can help you out with everything!

Aha!

Good to know. Most of the other books that I have previously unlocked were pdb format. SO maybe I DID have to put the space in. Well, at any rate, I know that if one way doesnt work, try the other. Thanks everyone!

Some of my epub books open, and some just send me back to the main menu (Books, Pictures, Settings). They open on my pc.

Anyone have any suggestions? I've tried re-downloading the books and reinstalling them on my JBL, to no avail.

Also, still have books that require a smaller font to see all of the text. Larger fonts leave out some lower parts of the pages.

Most Libraries use a service that provides ADE infected ePub files.

You need to infect your PC with ADE and have ADE manage the files and
place them into your JBL after it has infected that.

Google ADE or "Adobe Digital Editions".

You might take a look at the discussions over at the MobileRead Forums,
on the subject.

Luck;
Ken

I'm sure the reference to updating was in reference to the missing text
at the bottom of the page, and that was for some .pdb files/ebooks.
An update corrected that problem some time ago.

You could try just converting your non-working in JBL .epub files in
Calibre to .epub with the "Jetbook 5-inch" output profile set. Just running
it through Calibre usually fixes the occasionally uncooperative ebook.

Luck;
Ken
