I just adore my new Partner LUX/EF. I can hardly put it down because it has just about everything I need. The promo doesn't do it justice. It's really a palm-sized Android tablet with built-in language learning. Well done!
With that being said, having upgraded from the Partner 900, I sorely miss the ability to create my own flashcard sets and add to those sets by way of the dictionary. I am also disappointed to see that the linguistic crossword is gone. Will these features be added in a future release?
I have looked at a few flashcard Android apps, but none of them come close to the lean and effective P900 flashcards-- and they certainly don't integrate with the LUX dictionary.

Hey,
Thanks for the message. I have been told their are features and functions on the 900 that have not yet been customized to work on the LUX. I'm not sure if this is one of them but i would think so. It is a really useful feature and many of our 900 series customers used it.
I can tell you we will definitely have firmware revisions for it, they will be available as a free download. Weather or not customizable flashcards will be included is hard to say.

I completely understand that you don't want to sacrifice quality by releasing applications before they are ready.
Here's a suggestion: If the multiple-choice flashcard application is going to be rewritten, I would like to suggest that the "wrong answers" (distractors) presented be of the same part of speech as the question word. It's not very challenging to be presented with a noun and have three of the four distractors be verbs, especially when the distinction between a noun and a verb is usually obvious, as in French. Just a thought. (This is why the custom cards are so important to me.) Need a beta tester?

Hey,
Thanks for the feedback! I have already passed it to development. Hopefully they will get the hint and implement it.
Also, i can tell you they will have a firmware revision first (in progress), then they will be considering feedback like yours for the one after.
If we need a tester I'll let you know!

Hi Jerry,
Has the firmware upgrade been completed for the Partner Lux yet? I'd be all too happy to volunteer as a tester.
Cheers,
