Hi fellows!

Is it worth to use a screen protector on a Jetbook?

I am used to put screen protectors on almost every PDA/Smartphone I owned in the past, one big reason was to protect the touchscreen from accidental scratch, fingerprints and/or dust. But as the 5" screen of the Jetbook is not this kind of screen I'm not sure if it worth to buy one (a good quality one of course).

My preferred brand is Brando, easy to install and remove, 0% bubbles, washable (the protector no the device of course), one drawback is that they are expensive ($14 each). Brando has two different type of screen protector one called Ultra-Clear that I do not like as it increases light reflection, and the old Anti-Glare type that makes the screen a bit washed out and/or dimmer (sorry for my English if I'm not able to use the right words). If finally I buy one for sure it will be the 5" Anti-Glare one.

All comments, recommendations and experiences are welcome.

Regards
Jerry

Hi,

I think its a good idea as long as you can find one that does not diminish the quality of the screen. Believe it or not some will even increase the survival rate of a drop.

Finally I bought Brando's Anti-Glare screen protector for 5" screens.

The screen protector is a bit smaller than the JBL's 5" screen leaving few milimeters uncovered, to be exact the JBL has a 5" screen but 5" refers only to the usable or viewable screen area, the screen is a bit bigger if you include the area that surrounds the viewable are of the screen.
