I got a EF400T which is block in the first screen with the little key on. I can do anything. the keyboard is locked too. When removing the batteries after a night and puting them back is still locked without keyboard access and it is the same when pushing the reset it is coming back to the same screen and still locked. Is there another way to get a full reset or unlocked it?

Thanks for telling me what to do.

Hi,

Thanks for the message, some of the 400 series models had an SD card inside them. If yours does please remove it. On the side of the SD card would be a tiny slider, move it the other way. Re-insert the SD card and hit reset (Small pinhole on the device).

If that does not work, press and hold down reset with a paper clip and hold on/off at the same time. Do this for about 5-10 seconds.

If that does not work then please email support at support@ectaco.com

Hope this helps!

When you reset the device do you lose all the data on it? I assume the data is backed up to the sd card.

Hi,

For the 400 series i believe it is on the hardware itself. For models like the 900 series, it is on the card.

You may lose some minor things like time and date but should not lose other saved data.

Hope this helps!
