I can't read the Arabic diacritics that are in my personal dictionary. Does Arabic Flashcards support diacritics?

I'm using a Zire 72 and using LingvoSoft FlashCards Version 1.2.32.
Thanks for your help. I think this is a dynamite program. If I can use diacritics, I'll definitely buy it.

Not sure, what you mean by "Arabic diacritics"?
FlashCards supports full MS Windows Arabic codepage 1256..

Diacritics refers to the specialized characters (equivalent to accent marks) Arabic uses to indicate vowels and certain stresses. Generally, but not always, a word can be written with or without the diacritics. However, for language students, it is extremely helpful to have the diacritics.
Example here's "he taught" with and without diacritics:
دَرَّسَ
درس

Well, currently we are not providing this kind of diacritics. We've initialy realized the basic alphabet contained in our vocabulary databases. In the future we are planning to add other symbols to FlashCards. Thank you for your input

Thanks for the comeback. I'm surprised, though, because MS Windows Arabic codepage 1256 does include diacritics. They appear in the FO row:
F0 = U+064B : ARABIC FATHATAN
F1 = U+064C : ARABIC DAMMATAN
F2 = U+064D : ARABIC KASRATAN
F3 = U+064E : ARABIC FATHA
F5 = U+064F : ARABIC DAMMA
F6 = U+0650 : ARABIC KASRA
F8 = U+0651 : ARABIC SHADDA
FA = U+0652 : ARABIC SUKUN
FF = U+06D2 : ARABIC LETTER YEH BARREE
Related question, is it possible to enter arabic text directly into a personal dictionary created on the palm? If so, how? I couldn't figure it out

Yes, seems that I missed this point with Arabic diacritics in CP1256.
No, currently Palm FlashCards doesn't support this letters in any way, sorry..
In nearest update this feature should be released.

I fully agree. I would defintely purchase this software if it supported diacritics!!
So whilst it's fairly easy to create a quick flashcard program in VBA that displays the diacritics --> once you try and tranfer the excel speadsheet over to Windows Mobile/Pocket PC 2002 or 2003, all the Arabic characters are separated and 'back to front'. I believe Windows Mobile 5.0 has support for complex scripts such as Arabic: so my program should work under that...
... if Lingvosoft can support the diacritics before Mobile 5.0 comes out, all the better!!

Has there been any movement on adding MS Windows Arabic codepage 1256 diacritics?

Following up again to ask if there has been any progress on adding the diactric characters to the Arabic flashcard program. Its such a great program, the best I have seen for palm flashcards, but it is such a frustration that it doesn't support diacritics.

I first wrote to ask about adding support for diacritics to the Arabic flashcard program over a year ago. Large changes are not required, you just have to add one line of MS Windows code. Is there any plan to do this?
Thanks,
Cris
