I have just purchased the 500T and am finding the display difficult to read clearly in normal lighting conditions - this model does not have the backlight facility. I have adjusted the font sizes and contrast to try to improve the view, but without success. This, in addition to the shiny surface of the screen has made me dissatisfied with the product, making me consider an immediate return/ refund request. Please advise if there is anything else I can do to improve the situation, as the translation features of the product are 1st class and just what I wanted.

Thanks for the question! The partner 500 models use a standard non back-lit LCD screen and low consumption internals. This provides for amazing battery life and hours of continuous use.
