Thanks for the latest Upgrade. I am no longer missing text in my Pdb formatted books - both DRM and non-Drm. I also like that I can now choose justify/or not. The entering of your Drm code(s) once for each flavor (fictionwise first name last name cc#) (ereader.com first name mi last name cc#) works!! Thanks so much for this!
For future wishes I would like to request a few more fonts and maybe a font between 24 and 32. Older eyes like to flexibility of enlarging type.. helps justify the expense of the little devices. I also would like it if you could include the ability to use the table of contents and jump to chapters as well as just page numbers.
Thanks!
Karen

I'd like to second both of these requests. The jump between 24 and 32 points is pretty big. Something in between would be nice. And for those "older eyes", something bigger than 32 point can come in handy. Even better would be the ability for the user to download fonts to the JBL (yeah, I know this is real wishful thinking).
A lot of Ereader books have a table of contents made up of links and links to footnotes and the like. It would be real nice to be able to select these links. An alternative that might be more useful is a search function. That way I could search for "II" to go to Chapter II as well as other searches.

I want a font that actually uses the space on the screen. The lines of text are so far apart it almost looks like they are double spaced. This is practically my biggest complaint with the jetbook lite. Can't be THAT difficult to add a better font.

I'd like to see ALL Filenames handled the same way .TXT filenames are. ie, <author>#<booktitle>.extension. That way sorts and searches would actually work on palm and PDF books.

What seems to be going on is that for PDF and at least FB2 what is displayed is the Author and Title from the document header, if present
This is obvious from the free books since the author of the Iliad is "Homer" and of the Odessey is "Homer Homer" or possibly vice versa and I have some PDFs with weird info like the editor's name and the ISBN.
rtf's don't usually have this so the <author>#<booktitle>.extension. for them would be a nice to have as would upgrading the palm/prc/mobi and EReader viewers.
And perhaps a User setting to optionally display filenames rather than header information.
Meanwhile, if what is displayed is useless, place the book in its own folder and give the folder a helpful name.

That is what I ended up doing. I buy almost all ebooks from fictionwise or Webscription. I either stick them into the new folders I make on the sd card or put them in one of the premade folders. I prefer to make my folders by authors since so many of those I read do series.

What I suggest is to remove one of the fonts and define a format to allow you to put ANY font you want on the SD card.
if the first four locations in the file are FF AA 55 00 and the file name is exfont, then you could buy ANY ttf font and use that on your jetbook.
The next 8 locations would be the zoom size, allowing users to taylor the font sizes to their own preference.
This would satisfy any reader that desired to have a different foint. Problem solved and everyone is happy.
I see this request in every single ebook reader out there, someone always wants a different font or different font sizes.
This option would place jetbook firmly ahead of all other ebook readers out on the market today in this respect.

I just got off the phone with the tech department for ectaco. I asked about the new software upgrade which will allow downloading drm files. The guy said it is not coming for a while. Either the tech department doesnt know anything about these downloads or we all are being lied to about this upgarde just to get us and others to buy the jetbook not knowing you cant download any bestsellers acct. they are drm secure downloads.

Either I have a different machine or my drm ebooks are opening up just because they like me. So far no problem in opening up any drm once I get the credit card # and password in and active. Of course I am using a lite, so maybe that is the reason. I do get all my books from fictionwise and not from B&N, but I hardly think that is the reason.

Yes the jetbook lite has the software to download drm files. That is the problem. Jetbook ( not lite) has been out for a long time and still can not download drm files. Also the upgrade has been promised for some time and still is not here.
