I am a new jetbook owner and I have to say, I am a bit disgruntled. I have put a few PDF's on there already and they don't seem to load them. A few things might happen. For some of the PDF's the loading icon will pop up and it will look like it is loading but it will never go to the document. I would leave it there for over 10 minutes but still nothing.

Another thing that happened was immediately after I tried to open the PDF, the screen would go blank for a very short time and it would go back to the main screen

The last thing that would happen is it would load the first page of the PDF but when I tried to flip to the second page it would go blank for a short time and go right back to the main screen.

I have tried many different PDFs and these three things has happened to some of them but I don't know what to do. Anyone have any advice? The largest PDF would be 20mb, I didn't think that would matter but the PDFs would range in size from 100 kb's to 20 mb's

In order to download Audiobook, You need to download it to Your Personal Computer at first.
Then make sure audio book is in mp3-format.
Then just copy it to SD-card. After You insert this SD-card in Jetbook, You should go to Settings, then SD-card Manager Files, You will see that mp3-file there. Just click OK and You will hear Audio book through headset or speaker.
Otherwise, You may connect Jetbook to Personal Computer, You will see REMOVABLE DISC in “My computer”. Please, find folder “Music” on Removable Disc and download mp3-file there. Then disconnect Jetbook from PC and turn it on. Find Your mp-3 file in “Audiobooks” option.

You may download pdf-files as well.
But Jetbook doesn’t recognize some of of pdf-files. Please, use pdf-files of Adobe Reader 6.0 or any previous versions for now and we will be able to provide updates wich would work with all types of pdf-files shortly.
By the way, You may save pdf file as text, in txt-format and that would be even more convinient for You.

The last Jetbook release supports fb2-files which is popular int eh Internet.

Please, contact ECTACO Technical Support if You have any questions.

Also, the PDF's I was downloading was PDF 1.5 (Acrobat 6.x) which means it might not be the format. Are there any other possibilities?

I have run into the problem where certain PDF books will not work on the Jetbook. I fixed the problem by downloading a freeware PDF program that will create a PDF file when you print it (I use PDFill PDF&Image Writer). I open the problem PDF file using Adobe Reader and then I print the entire document to the PDF printer. Load the new PDF file into the Jetbook and it should work.

This way works for English font only. But if you want download Polish, Russian or other language there is no way for the successful download.
Does anyone know how to download Russian text?

Please use the following procedure to transfer files into correct format to be able to read books in Russian:

Open the ebook with Microsoft Word

Save in JetBook (usually it’s recognized as “Removable Disc E”
Save as type Plain text (.txt)
In popped up “Text Convertation” menu pick “Other encoding” and then choose
“Cyrillic (Windows)”
