I have a P900 series Polish -English which works fine, recently I have bought a new SD card to make it multi language but the new SD is not working (system file not found). The original SD card has FAT16 file system, the new SD is FAT32 . Do I need a firmware or operating system update in order to use new SD card ? if so how I do it.
Thanks.

Hey,
I'm going to move this to the tech support section.
Make sure the little slider on the side of the SD card is on 'unlock' or towards the metal connectors. Put it in the device and then reset (button on the bottom).
If their is still an issue please contact tech@ectaco.com They can most likely send you a download link to re-install the software on the SD.
Hope this helps!

I am also now having a similar issue. I have a Ectaco Partner P900. Was having an issue so did a soft system reset using the stylus pressing the small reset button in rear. From that point on, the translator will not work. The error message says system.bin not found. I’ve taken the SD card out and viewed the contents from my computer. There are some folders and then the system.bin file. I have two other language SD cards. When trying to use either of these… same message. Help!

I am not sure it is a corrupt SD card. As mentioned, I have two other SD cards with different languages.. one for French/Russian and one for Japanese/Russian. Along with my English/Russian, neither of these three cards solve the problem of the error message to insert card with system.bin file. Each of these three cards has a system.bin file on it in addition to the folders. Can you offer any other resolution? thanks...

Hey,
Thanks for the message. There are only two other options. One is that the little lock (Small switch) on the side of the SD card is in the wrong direction. The second option is that the device hardware is having an issue reading the SD card. Please contact the tech support and they will be happy to diagnose the issue with you. You can call 718-728-3605 or email tech@ectaco.com
Hope this helps!

Thanks, I'll contact tech support. It is not the SD card write protect switch....double checked to make sure it was not in read-only position and is correctly in the unlocked position (toward the copper)...
