I was under the impression the I-travel would translate all conversation not just a phrase or two. I am going to Spain in 2 weeks and was wanting to get to know family there. Asking basic questions is not what I was hoping for. Sugestions???
Also my unit will not turn off. At first it was turning off, now it stays on all the time and the battery keeps running down.

Hi,

Thanks for the message, the iTravl can do a speech to speech translation for one of 14,000 entries, also for Spanish you can use the text translation feature. You can type anything you want, as much as you want and it will be translated.

If there is an issue with powering the unit off i recommend resetting the device. The reset button is on the back of the device, you can use a paperclip to reset it.

Jerry, I have re-set it 2 times and it is still not powering off ~ any other ideas on this?
Are there any more recent "How to" videos? I watched the one with the dude, his screen has the statue of liberty on it, my device has a differnt screen interface. Thanks for your help

It could be a physical problem with the on/off button but i cant be sure. I don't believe we have a video tutorial on this device.

I recommend starting a dialog with our technical support. You can send an email to tech@ectaco.com Please ask about the power issue, also they can answer any questions you may have on using the item.
