Do we expect Ectacos standard procedure? Delayed update, interesting excuses, ...?
Or will they surprise us?

I expect the standard procedure. Namely:

7 March 2012 + 30 days + 7 extra days = (approx.) 14 April 2012

That is my current line for the next upgrade to become available. It can change

exactly
And the first standard behavior already applied - no excuse for delay on the day it was promised.
I'ts not the case we provided Ideas to improve the customer relationship when we had the issue the last time.

If they take bug reports and feature request as serious it might not even matter never getting the update.

Of course not.
They again promised a date which is not true and repeated the promise in their blog.
And if you read that blog we still don't get the functionality we paid for.
When I ordered the device I trusted the functionality description and there was no word that the software is not finished!

They still state on the sales website that a browser is shipped. It's still not true and It seems that we will get it limited to some websites.
No words about this limitation to their new victims.

What's so difficult to say the truth about a status what is running and what is planned?

I'm more critical than normal customers when I like to get what I paid for?

Originally it was scheduled to be released on April Fool's Day. Maybe that's some kind of a clue.

I still think it will probably be out in mid-April. And I'm pretty sure this will be the last update for a longer time (possibly even the last altogether).

Have you read http://ectaco-global.blogspot.de/?
Post from April 3rd:
If you haven't received the April 1st update we'll be posting it on our site (www.jetbook.net/update) within the next 2 days.

Jerry: can you please explain what that means and if an enduser firmware is planned after this update within a reasonable timeline?
Web browser has been implemented to display Web resources related to ebook reading using open networks. This has been limited as per school requests, but can be modified in future updates.

Hey All,

I have been meaning to post here but have been super busy testing the update and working with development to make it just right.

They were ready to release it on Monday however i held it back because of a few issues i noticed. I believe we will be receiving the finalized version within 24 to 48 hours. It will be posted right on the website www.jetbook.net so everyone can just go on and download it.

Hope this helps!
