The dictionaries are easy to install on a computer running on Windows 2000/XP, Pocket PC 2002, Windows CE 3.0 or higher.
The software dictionaries translate words from English to Chinese and from Chinese to English.
The ability to pronounce English words due to the Text-to-Speech engine is the distinguishing feature of these software translators. Now instead of checking an English word transcription simply select the word and with one click make the speech synthesizer pronounce it for you.
For the convenience of Windows users the Chinese words are supplied with the hieroglyph transliteration, PinYin transcription, given in brackets.
Software translators for Pocket PC are equipped with the Chinese keyboard allowing two methods of Chinese input: PinYin (transliterated input) and input by radical.
PinYin is the method of transliterated input. You are supposed to be aware of the proper transliteration of the hieroglyph you want to find. Input by Radical allows you to find a hieroglyph by its radical.
