Ectaco, Inc. has released a new version of the company's Pocket Voice Translator – The Oriental Universal Translator™.

This voice-operated, pocket-sized device now translates from English into Arabic, Farsi, and Afghan. Very soon, though, new amounts of phrases along with other languages (Chinese and Japanese) will be added and available for translation.

The device contains over 3,000 common words and phrases specially selected to cover more than 80% of users’ communication needs.

The Oriental UT is a phrase bank with advanced speech recognition capability. Say a phrase in English - the device will recognize it, translate it into any of three languages (Arabic, Farsi and Afghan), and even pronounce the translation aloud.
